At Swiss Bear’s request
in the interest of public safety and to facilitate the free and safe movement
of pedestrians during MUMFEST weekend, effective 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. October 12
and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 13, the Commander of the Fifth Coast Guard District
issued a temporary deviation and the draw span will only be allowed to open
every two hours on the hour.
Please help us pass the
word to your boating friends, the press and area yacht clubs.
Although it may be a bit
of an inconvenience, it would be tragic if there was a major accident on the
bridge. We appreciate and thank everyone for their cooperation and patience over
the two days, be it pedestrians or boaters.
